Welcome to Göd-ÉRT, the “For Göd Association,” dedicated to protecting the environment and urban integrity of Göd, Hungary. Founded in March 2020 by concerned local residents, our association emerged in response to the establishment of the Samsung SDI lithium-ion battery plant, a significant industrial investment that has raised serious environmental and health concerns among our community.
Our mission is clear: to ensure that Göd retains its natural beauty and a healthy living environment for all residents. We strive to engage the community, raise awareness about environmental issues, and advocate for the residents’ rights against unchecked industrialization. The association collaborates with similar organizations in other cities to address battery industry issues.
Within Göd, we pay special attention to the city’s livability, the promotion and protection of its cultural and natural values, and community building. We pursue legal actions, write articles, and organize campaigns. Since October 2024, we have also delegated two representatives to the city council.
